The trio has been charged after a stolen car accident

Three teenagers have been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a parking police car north of Adelaide.

Patrolling officers noticed the allegedly stolen Toyota traveling east on Grand Junction Highway, Rosewater, simply after midnight.

A chase was started while traveling through several suburbs of North Adelaide and Polar tracked the vehicle.

Police deployed road spikes at the intersection of Mills Terrace and Hill Street, where the driver allegedly hit a parked police vehicle before driving again.

Tracking continued as vehicles drove along the Polar Port River Expressway, where police again deployed road spikes.

The 18-year-old driver crashed into a road sign in the process and the car hit the road to avoid and avoid spikes.

The Taperoo man tried to escape. Two passengers, a 19-year-old woman, and a 17-year-old boy – both from Taperoo – were left in the car.

All three were arrested and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The accused driver has been charged with using a motor vehicle illegally and driving a dangerous vehicle.

And on Monday he was denied bail in Port Adelaide Magistrates’ Court.

The teenager was also charged with vehicle misuse and will appear in Port Adelaide Youth Court on May 13.

This woman is also expected to be charged.
