Wallabies beat France 23-21 with last-gasp penalty goal

80′ Wallabies triumph

The full-time siren has gone and the Wallabies are 10 metres out from the French line.

The Wallabies use pick-and-go, as they try to inch their way to the line.

The Wallabies go for a drop goal in front of the sticks and it’s charged down but …

WALLABIES GET A PENALTY!

Lolesio to take the shot in front of the posts and …

WALLABIES WIN!!!!

The Wallabies win 23-21 following a remarkable finish!

It was closing in on 20 phases when the Wallabies got that final penalty and to the credit of Lolesio, he showed cool nerves to ice the win.

It must be said that the penalty goal attempt was in front of the posts but still, he had the enormous pressure that comes with every Wallabies supporter desperate for him to slot the winning points.

A fantastic performance from France, though. The tourists led the entire match until Lolesio marched up to the kicking tee.

A missed chance for the French, who were chasing their first win on Australian soil since 1990.
